Administrative/Biographical history:

Sutton Sharpe (1756-1806) was the son of Joseph Sharpe and Ann Telford. Sutton married Catharine Purchase (d 1791) and had one daughter Catharine (1782-1853). He then married Maria Roger (1771-1806), sister of the poet Samuel Rogers. They had six children: Sutton (1797-1843) a barrister at Lincoln's Inn, Samuel (1799-1881) a businessman, Mary (1800-1831), Henry (1802-1873), William (1804-1870) a solicitor, and Daniel (b ? 1805). William married Lucy Reid (1814-1895) and they had eight children.

Family papers, correspondence, diaries, account books and other papers of Sutton Sharpe Senior, Catharine Sharpe, Samuel Sharpe, Sutton Sharpe, William Sharpe and Lucy Sharpe. There are also papers and family correspondence relating to William and Lucy's children.
